Episode 54: Raising Kids Toward Belonging
Kids need to belong.
From the earliest age, all the way through their teenage years, they need to know that they're a part of something. It grounds them; it rescues them from the anxiousness that results from trying to find meaning on their own terms. Quite possibly, "Belonging" could be what kids need more than anything else if they're going to grow to become healthy people.
Host Noah Brink offers three words (Boundaries, Bravery, and Belovedness) to help frame how we can aim our kids toward belonging, regardless of our roles with kids – whether it's as parents, teachers, or coaches.
Episode 31: Establishing Meaningful Milestones
Our children need the Boundaries, Motivation, and Celebration that setting meaningful milestones before them can create. It helps them to see where they've come (and learn from it and recognize what they've achieved), be grounded where they are presently, and nurture a healthy dose of what to work and look toward. These milestones are one of the most tangible ways to create a structure that fights our culture's tendency toward entitlement and anxiety.
Episode 15: Worldview Foundation for Youngsters
Even though they're young, preschool-aged students still can learn critical aspects of a Christian worldview. By focusing on Boundaries, Bravery, and Delight, we'll target two of the categories of RenewEd's Worldview Framework in hopes to help children grow to see the gospel as truly good news.
